Getting rid of annoying CLICKING NOISE ...

Hey everyone. I do really basic recording in Logic Pro 8. It's only a one-track recording of my drums, miced up and connected to a Mackie mixer, then to a Omega USB Lexicon Interface. Anyway, I really need help with this really annoying click (like a metronome) that comes up everytime I start recording. It is really annoying because I am trying to drum to the song or just soloing and I have to deal with a really slow tempo click and makes me loose beat.

Does anyone know how to get rid of it? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone's wondering, I'm using a 15" MID 2009 Macbook Pro, 2.66GHz Intel C2D, 4GB of RAM and running Snow Leopard 10.6.1 hooked up to a 24" Apple LED Cinema Display.
